Michael Klein

As The Airoom Companies’ CEO, Mike Klein is intricately involved with the overarching strategies as well as the daily oversight of meeting the company’s and clients’ objectives.

Mike began his career with Airoom in 1983 and went on to serve as Vice President from 1984 to 2000. As the son of Airoom’s founder, Burton Klein, Mike started working in the field with various trades before moving on to design sales. Shortly thereafter, he became involved in architecture, construction and management before assuming his current role as the CEO. Mike prides himself on Airoom’s reputation of being the best in the industry.

Mike Klein has been a long time active leader in both the industry and the community. As a member of the Better Business Bureau (BBB), he represents the remodeling industry. He is a founding member of the Chicago Chapter of the National Association of Remodeling Industry (NARI) as well as a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). In addition, Mike is a member of the Illinois Association of Mortgage Bankers (IAMB) and a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) / World Presidents Organization (WPO), which includes the YPO/WPO National Construction Roundtable. Many high profile companies including The Great Escape, the Nimlok Company and Medcor Inc. have sought Mike out as a consultant.

In 2003, Mike founded the Airoom Charitable Foundation and serves as its President. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for Children’s Memorial Hospital.

Mike was listed in Crain’s 2004 and 2005 Who’s Who in Chicago Business and has been featured as a leading industry expert in numerous national publications including Forbes Magazine. He is a licensed real estate agent and received his Bachelors of Science in Marketing and Management from Indiana University Kelly School of Business.


Tom Graham

As President of The Airoom Companies, Tom oversees day-to-day operations.  He has been with the company since 1991 and brings years of industry and management experience.

Tom is a seasoned construction professional with nearly four decades of residential and commercial building experience.  Early in his career he developed his management skills as a small business owner focusing on construction and contracting services. He joined a much smaller Airoom in 1991 as the Kitchen and Bath Coordinator and has since played an integral part in its growth and development into the industry’s leader.  Tom managed several departments within the company including Design Development, Sales, Architecture, Purchasing, and Production.  Tom’s expertise was critical to the development of many of the systems and procedures that are currently in use throughout the organization.

Tom’s background helps him bring an experienced approach to the design/build process.  He knows and understands the intricate details involved in putting together complex projects at multiple locations. And his ability to manage the staff  allows the Airoom Companies to meet the daily challenges associated with constructing beautiful projects for each of its clients.

Tom has received numerous honors and awards for Airoom’s excellence from various vendors and trade organizations. Tom is a former member of Vistage International, and a long time member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). Tom currently sits on the board of directors for the Better Business Bureau and is very active within that organization. Tom is a Certified Green Professional, a licensed Chicago Supervising Electrician and a Certified Kitchen and Bath Designer.
